1. If you could have one of Superman's, powers which one would you want? Superhuman strength..Flight..Superhuman speed..X-Ray vision..etc

Definitely flight! Have you seen the prices for airfare these days?! And the charge for a carry on item is just ridiculous. I mean, what next, charging to go through security? Having the power to fly would save so much money! Plus, it'd really come in handy when the weirdos flock with their funny pick-up lines...

2. The best thing I ever won is....?

Er, I don't know. All I've ever won are academic awards and scholarship money (except, by the time I graduated, the scholarship money was worth probably $1 because they increased tuition every year but the value of my scholarship didn't increase). I did win a blog giveaway of goat's milk soap (makes the skin SO soft) from Brianna @ Little Green Pastures (if you've never read her blog, GO! Her family inspires me so much. The love she and her husband have for each other, her miracle son, her ability to bare her soul... she's a beautiful person inside and out.)

3. Have you ever skyped with a bloggy friend?

I've never skyped. Period. Although Krista (LOVE HER!) and I joke about having a skype pool party ;)

4. What is your favorite Summer month?

Assuming May isn't considered a summer month, June.

5. Pool, Lake, or Ocean?

All of the above. Gimme some water and I'm happy as can be. But the beach is my favorite place in the world, so I guess ocean would be at the top of the list.

6. One of my favorite Summer memories is.....?

Family vacation's to Siesta Key with the entire gang.

7. What's your favorite secret bargain?

I love any and every good bargain. The less money out of my pocket, the better.

8. Do you plan on or have you been watching the World Cup?

Negative. I loathe soccer. Which can only mean I'll probably marry a guy obsessed with it and we'll have soccer stars as kids. But then I guess I'd learn to love it, huh?

Also, if you could keep Helene and her family in your prayers/well wishes, it would be appreciated. One of her younger sons had an accident and seems to be in stable condition, but I believe is still in the PICU.

My eyes are a little buggy today. I was reading your awards answer. You wrote, "All I've ever won are academic awards..." BUT I thought you wrote "All I've ever won are academy awards..." I thought you were being a wisecracker!

I didn't intend to skip out for the past (almost) week, &, as a matter of fact, I actually HAD things to blog about (shocking, I know), but the end of last week was pure chaos and time did not allow for much of anything other than work/appointments/errands/getting ahead on school work/playing mom to three kids all weekend. And all of that running around & time spent with kids has left me with a terrible cold, intense nausea, and sleep deprevation. However, my flight leaves at 7:05 tomorrow morning & by 2 EST, I'll be in beautiful St Thomas with another friend visiting one of my favorite people in the world & for that, I am beyond grateful. Catch y'all in a week or so! Aloha. Or whatever the Caribbean equivalent of goodbye is.

Random Facts about Me You Probably Don't Care to Know.

Brown Eyed Girl Jenn did this post earlier today and I thought it was fun, I haven't done a meme in ages, and I have a handful of new followers who may like to know useless information about me, so I figured what the heck? Might as well steal it. Thanks, Jenn! The ABCs of yours truly! A. Age -- 23. I'll be 24 on May 20th (I love surprises in the mail, hint hint ;)) and some days I can't believe I'm that old, while others, I can't believe I'm that young. B. Bed size -- Queen and it's the most heavenly thing in the world, which is great, but also bad, because it is nearly impossible to pull myself out of bed every morning... or afternoon. C. Chore you dislike -- Cleaning the shower would probably be my least favorite. I have a shower/tub combo and I really just hate getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing the bejeezus out of the thing. Plus, I feel like I smell like Clorox for the next 3 showers. D. The Season of Giving... & Receiving

Read this post. Trust me, you'll want to. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving until January 1st, I forget about how much I despise cold weather and bask in the warmth that is Christmas cheer. Oh, Lord, is that cheesy or what? But I mean it. There's just something about all the decorations, the music, the preparation for the birth of my Lord, that makes me all giddy. But it can also be a stressful time with the end of school, shopping to do, letters to send, volunteer work, etc. I know I'm not the only person in the world who stresses. Kids, taking care of the home, jobs, finding a job, loved ones who are fighting for our freedom overseas, school, being a good friend and family member-- it can all be so overwhelming and take a toll on the body. I try to use homeopathic remedies (I think that's the term I'm looking for...) when I'm feeling incredibly stressed because Lord knows my body gets pumped full of enough pharmaceuticals as is
