Monday Minute & Bon Voyage

First up is Ian's Monday Minute. This week he is cohosting with Brittney @ Mommywood, so be sure to check out both of their blogs!

If you want to join in on the fun, click the button below, answer the questions, and link up!

Monday Minute

1. Who of all your blog friends would you like to meet and/or who have you met?

The better question is, who don't I want to meet? But lets see, there are serious plans in the work to meet Rosh (possibly in August!), and Jess, once I can get my life together and head down to the Sunshine State, where I also hope to meet Jenna, my favorite quad momma! From Indy, I could make a pit stop in Missouri to say "Hi" to Katherine and then I could do a tour of MN and meet Laura, Anne, & Pennie. After that, I'll head over to Wyoming and visit my fave Momma Fargo and then blow a kiss to Lindsey and gang as I go through Oregon. Afterwards, I'd take a little journey down to California to see my sista from another mista, Helene, as well as Katie, Merri Ann, and Guc. From there, I'd take a journey to the Big Island (oh darn!) and see JB! I'll shoot on over to TX and say hello to Janet and everyone else in TX that I'm forgetting. Make a pit-stop in Arkansas to see Melissa, then shimmy on over to Mississippi to see my other sista from another mista, Casey! Up the south-east coast, I'll check in on Missy Prissy in GA & Pamalamadingdong and her cute babies in NC, then Ian in DC. Stop off in NJ to see Courtney, then NYC to say hello to Denise and my new love, JoJo. Last, but not least, I'll finish it off with a stop in PA to visit one of my favorite people in the (blog) world, Krista (who has the sweetest baby girl in the world!). Somewhere along the way, I'll have also met it's just me :) ! Sounds like fun (I hope I covered everyone!)!!!

All that tagging, however, was not fun.

2. What kind of vehicle(s) do you drive?

2008 gently used Ford Escape, as of last November. I'm in love with this car and so happy it's what I (aka, my parents for the most part) bought. With the asinine amount of driving I do, it's been lovely.

3. What kind of cell phone do you have?

A piece of crap BlackBerry Curve that I cannot wait to get rid of in September! Seriously, it sucks. In less than two years, they've had to replace it three times because of malfunction. And it still is jank. I might get an iPhone, or I might keep it simple and just get a basic phone that can call and text and nothing else.

4. What's the most annoying thing you wish bloggers would stop doing?
This is not directed towards anyone specifically, but here it goes:
~Please stop leaving bitchy comments on other peoples posts. If you disagree with them, click the x and move on, or argue with them tactfully. Negative energy is so pointless and berating someone will only bring you bad karma.
~Also, I can't stand excessive amounts of cussing. Trust me, I do my fair share, but if "fuck" is used every other word, it's unnecessary.
~Finally, don't leave impersonal comments that say, "Cute blog! Follow me back @ imanattentionwhore.blogspot.com!" Chances are, I won't even click on your blog link. Ever. It comes across as if you only blog to gain followers, which is lame. Then again, I never have and never will understand the need to be "popular," so what do I know?

and finally...

5. What's the one thing that you still have on your bucket list to do before the year is out?

Do you see anything crossed out on the Bucket List on the sidebar? Me either. I guess I've got a lot of stuff to do in the next 5 months, huh?

Thanks Ian & Brittney!

Next order of business:

Today, my cousin, Eric, is headed down to Ft. Benning in Georgia for 14 weeks of boot camp (or whatever it's called) for the Army. He graduated from Purdue University in May and is now following his dream of being in the Army. Eric is the only family member (or really, person I actually know) to be in the military (aside from grandfathers and great uncles back in the day) and I couldn't be more proud of him-- for following a dream & for fighting for our rights. He's a great person and I know he will make a wonderful soldier. If y'all could send well wishes/prayers his way during this (4 year long) journey, my entire family would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

If you're feeling lucky...

My good friend Jess is hosting a giveaway for her 300th post! Click here if you want to enter. But, I'll warn you now, if one of you wins and I don't... it's on!!!

And last, but not least!
Last week I gained 10 new followers! Every time I see a new follower, I'm blown away. It's just crazy to me that people like what I have to say! I just want to thank all my readers for enjoying my little blog and for always leaving sweet and supportive messages! Y'all are the best!!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful holiday weekend!!

that was very sweet that you listed all your followers in your #1 response! If I am ever in your state, I'll be sure to let you know!

Congratulations on TEN new followers! That is fantastic. I can't seem to get too many more - I know others read...but don't follow. :( and one person de-followed me a few weeks ago.

Hope you had a nice 4th of July

HAH! Hey...when you stop through Jersey, look me up too! LOL And I couldn't agree with you MORE on the things you hate about bloggers. I have a "sailor" mouth much of the time too, but not every other friggin word!

Prayers for your cousin Eric too! God bless him and all others serving this country!

I'm sitting here nodding in agreement over the things you don't like about other bloggers. Seriously, it's like you just opened my head and took out my thoughts.

Anyhoo... I'm one of your 10 new followers!! :)

Congratulations to your cousin, that is very admirable that he's fighting for OUR rights... and following HIS dreams.

Everyone of your blogging pet peeves I totally agree with! I should probably just delete those attention-seeking "whores" who only leave a comment with the hope that others will click on it and follow them as well. But then that would count against me...you know, one less comment. I guess I'm an attention-seeking whore as well...I just don't go out and promote myself.

Don't ever be shocked as to why you gain new followers. It's because you totally rock. The blogosphere is a happier place with you in it, my dear.

And good for your cousin for following his dreams!!!
