Getting to know YOU


1. If you had to choose a country to live in besides USA (or the country you live in), which would it be?

Some easy-going island or Australia. Which, honestly, given the current state of this country, is sounding more and more appealing.

2. Which would be worse, wearing flip flops in the snow or wearing gloves in the summer?

Gloves in the summer. I HATE sweating and do enough of it as it is, I do not need thick cotton suffocating my limbs adding to it!

3. Fried or Bake and why?

Baked. I can eat french fries, but that's the extent of it. If I eat anything else fried, the tum tum gets back at me with a vengeance.

4. If you were an entertainment reporter, which celeb would you love to interview and why?

Carrie Underwood, to see if she's as down to earth as she comes across or is really a giant diva with good acting skills. Also, Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts because I love them. Plus, I'd like to interview someone really funny to get my abs workout in for the day :)

5. What was your favorite book as a preteen/teenager?

"To Kill a Mockingbird," "Gossip Girl," "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," Are you there God? It's me, Margaret" I'm a reading fiend, I could go on.

6. List your top 3 guilty pleasure television shows.

1. The Real Housewives of [Pick your location, but Atlanta] 2. Bethenny Getting Married?
3. Dog the Bounty Hunter

7. What bumper sticker slogan best describes you/your attitude/your life?

I'm not a bumper sticker aficionado, so I had google help me out. I found one that reads, "Take it easy, life is short," and that resonated with me. I found a funny one that made me laugh, "My kid is an honor role student. My president is an idiot."

8. If you were to join a circus - what performer would you be?

Uh, good question! The elephant rider because I l.o.v.e. elephants!

I have ridden an elephant! It's as awesome as it sounds.

I'm going to have to find that bumper sticker about the honor student and the president. I never put bumper stickers on my car, but I would make an exception for that one.

LOVE this...flip flops in the snow...huh? And I definitely LOVE Julia Roberts & Sandra Bullock too. And I would also really like to know if Carrie Underwood is a genuine as she appears. Her husband & her are adorable too. Can't wait to get the new People magazine about her wedding. Great minds think alike. Glad you're back to blogging more...I missed your funny posts. Elephant rider???? Never would have guessed that one...I would say for me, the announcer. That would be fun. I'm not a daredevil, so all the acrobatic stuff is out...

I like the Real Housewives of New York (is that the one with Bethenny & Jill? Whichever one that is...)

That bumper sticker is awesome!! I used to wish I had one that read, "Honk if you remembered to take your Wellbutrin today".

I bet Carrie Underwood is a total diva. She just has that high maintenance look about her. I mean, dang...did you see her wedding pics in People magazine?? Rumor has it they paid her 2 million for exclusive rights to the pics...that paid for her entire wedding. Must be nice.

Fried foods make my tummy hurt too.

I didn't intend to skip out for the past (almost) week, &, as a matter of fact, I actually HAD things to blog about (shocking, I know), but the end of last week was pure chaos and time did not allow for much of anything other than work/appointments/errands/getting ahead on school work/playing mom to three kids all weekend. And all of that running around & time spent with kids has left me with a terrible cold, intense nausea, and sleep deprevation. However, my flight leaves at 7:05 tomorrow morning & by 2 EST, I'll be in beautiful St Thomas with another friend visiting one of my favorite people in the world & for that, I am beyond grateful. Random Facts about Me You Probably Don't Care to Know.

Brown Eyed Girl Jenn did this post earlier today and I thought it was fun, I haven't done a meme in ages, and I have a handful of new followers who may like to know useless information about me, so I figured what the heck? Might as well steal it. Thanks, Jenn! The ABCs of yours truly! A. Age -- 23. I'll be 24 on May 20th (I love surprises in the mail, hint hint ;)) and some days I can't believe I'm that old, while others, I can't believe I'm that young. B. Bed size -- Queen and it's the most heavenly thing in the world, which is great, but also bad, because it is nearly impossible to pull myself out of bed every morning... or afternoon. C. Chore you dislike -- Cleaning the shower would probably be my least favorite. I have a shower/tub combo and I really just hate getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing the bejeezus out of the thing. Plus, I feel like I smell like Clorox for the next 3 showers. D. The Season of Giving... & Receiving

Read this post. Trust me, you'll want to. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving until January 1st, I forget about how much I despise cold weather and bask in the warmth that is Christmas cheer. Oh, Lord, is that cheesy or what? But I mean it. There's just something about all the decorations, the music, the preparation for the birth of my Lord, that makes me all giddy. But it can also be a stressful time with the end of school, shopping to do, letters to send, volunteer work, etc. I know I'm not the only person in the world who stresses. Kids, taking care of the home, jobs, finding a job, loved ones who are fighting for our freedom overseas, school, being a good friend and family member-- it can all be so overwhelming and take a toll on the body. I try to use homeopathic remedies (I think that's the term I'm looking for...) when I'm feeling incredibly stressed because Lord knows my body gets pumped full of enough pharmaceuticals as is
