Another Email from Online Dating

Yet another email from one of the "prospects" (I'm beginning to use that term very loosely) on match. While it is more than flattering that some of the men on there find me attractive and interesting and I certainly appreciate it, I also appreciate the laughs some of the emails give me.

*my mind blowing commentary is in the aqua color*

Enclosed----corny pick up lines (Oh joy, just my cup of tea.)
If I could rearrange the alphabet I'd put u and I together (And thanks for the warning.). Are you tired because you've been running through my mind all day (That's impossible. Everyone knows I can't run for more than 5 minutes.) and my personal favorite, I lost my number can I have yours (1-317-yaright) lol what's the weirdest line someone has used on you ("You have amazing bone structure." True story. In fact, it happened just a couple weeks ago.)? anyway enough of the corniness lol, in your profile you mentioned you want to travel and live somewhere different. If you had to pick your top three places to live where would they be and why? (Wow, a question I can work with! Maybe I misjudged you.) I also agree that online dating is weird but maybe it's weird because of all the weirdos on here because there are many (Really? Well color me surprised! I hadn't noticed.). I don't think I am but who knows lol? (Uh, I'll be nice and say the jury is still out on this one...) ttyl (sorry to much txting lol) (This just in! The jury has reached its verdict! You're one of the weirdos. Your punishment? You are no longer allowed to type 'lol' or any other 'text speak' so long as you live.) Matt (at least I like your name!)

Plus he is 5'6. I'm 5'9. Not happenin'. It's great that there are people out there comfortable with dating someone shorter (or taller, for that matter), I, however, am not.

Go on. You can say I'm too picky. I won't be offended. However, if I'm 33, still single, and still singing the same tune, one of y'all better slap some sense into me. I had a realization about my pickiness the other day-- remind me to share it with you all soon. Seriously, remind me, I will forget.

If you're new to my site, which two good handfuls of you are (thank you!!), compliments to Gucci Mama (and, thank you!), click on any of the labels for this post and you'll find more posts about my online dating adventures and the like. Personally, I think they're hilarious (this wasn't one of the better ones...) :)

ugh I can't stand cheesy pick up lines!
I was doing clinicals on a post op floor when one of my male patients said to me,
"Excuse me miss, The Dr. said I can't do any heavy lifting, Could you please lift my penis to the urinal for me?"

Okay, so that wasn't exactly a pick up line, but I felt like sharing nonetheless.

I am a new follower via guccimama. I don't think you are too picky...don't you have to pay like 20 bones a month for match...they would be givin' me something better to work with!

Bwahahahaha! He sounds amazing. What a tool. This is like the best blog fodder ever though, so I hope the weirdos keep coming. Well, I hope some good ones come too though!

Maybe I should get on a dating site too just so I can write about it. That would be awesome.

LOL!!!!

I don't think you're too picky. Then, again, I'm also picky and am also single. So....... what's your realization?

Marianne,

I just found your blog...I recently joined eHarmony (last week) and I am 31, single and well-educated and I am truly amazed by the amount of weirdos and strange men online. I think single women are better talking to random men at bars at this point.
