Pass the Vino Part Deux

Remember this post???


Well, it's 12:45 and, yet again, I am about to pour myself a glass of wine.





BUT this time, it's a celebratory glass.





BECAUSE...

I just retook my nursing school entrance exam and not only did I PASS all 4 sections, but I also scored a 90% OVERALL!!!!!!! This puts me in the 98th percentile! Which means only two percent of the people who have taken it did better than me!!

Holy flippin' crap, I'm freakin' out!!!!!!!!

I'll be applying to the program next week and will find out at the end of May whether or not I have been accepted.

The program directors say that the best chances of getting into the program are to do really well on the entrance exam and to get an A in all four prereq's... I'd say a 90 is pretty damn good and I have an A in 3/4 of my classes (I'm currently taking the 4th). So while it's not a guarantee, I'm thinkin' my chances that I'll be starting nursing school in the fall are pretty good!!!

And now, I'm off to dissect a cat. What a life :)



Oh, and look at the surprise Helene's beautiful children sent me last night! LOVE the sign and their precious spaghetti faces :)

You are a freaking genius--another difference between you and me, although guess what??? I went to Catholic schools my whole life too...BUT back to your amazing score on your test. WOW!!! Forget a glass...down the whole bottle!!! You deserve it! Have a fantastic weekend!

I didn't intend to skip out for the past (almost) week, &, as a matter of fact, I actually HAD things to blog about (shocking, I know), but the end of last week was pure chaos and time did not allow for much of anything other than work/appointments/errands/getting ahead on school work/playing mom to three kids all weekend. And all of that running around & time spent with kids has left me with a terrible cold, intense nausea, and sleep deprevation. Random Facts about Me You Probably Don't Care to Know.

Brown Eyed Girl Jenn did this post earlier today and I thought it was fun, I haven't done a meme in ages, and I have a handful of new followers who may like to know useless information about me, so I figured what the heck? Might as well steal it. Thanks, Jenn! The ABCs of yours truly! A. Age -- 23. I'll be 24 on May 20th (I love surprises in the mail, hint hint ;)) and some days I can't believe I'm that old, while others, I can't believe I'm that young. B. Bed size -- Queen and it's the most heavenly thing in the world, which is great, but also bad, because it is nearly impossible to pull myself out of bed every morning... or afternoon. C. Chore you dislike -- Cleaning the shower would probably be my least favorite. The Season of Giving... & Receiving

Read this post. Trust me, you'll want to. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving until January 1st, I forget about how much I despise cold weather and bask in the warmth that is Christmas cheer. Oh, Lord, is that cheesy or what? But I mean it. There's just something about all the decorations, the music, the preparation for the birth of my Lord, that makes me all giddy. But it can also be a stressful time with the end of school, shopping to do, letters to send, volunteer work, etc. I know I'm not the only person in the world who stresses. Kids, taking care of the home, jobs, finding a job, loved ones who are fighting for our freedom overseas, school, being a good friend and family member-- it can all be so overwhelming and take a toll on the body. I try to use homeopathic remedies (I think that's the term I'm looking for...) when I'm feeling incredibly stressed because Lord knows my body gets pumped full of enough pharmaceuticals as is
