Back On the Market

Remember back in the winter when I was babysitting 60 hours a week? I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss those days! Not only for the busy-ness, but also for the lovely income! One family had to drop me for financial reasons, another one just doesn't have the need for me as much, I had to drop one family because it wouldn't work with my school schedule this fall, and my other family-- honestly, I don't know what happened, but they found someone to replace me as their primary sitter and only use me occasionally. I think they were worried about my schedule and didn't believe me when I said I could handle it, because we're still on great terms. But it still hurts.

So here I am, with time on my hands, bills pouring in, and no income. At all.

I have no clue where I'm going to nursing school. It may be in Indiana, it may be in friggin' Jupiter. Who the hell knows. And I cannot talk about the drama surrounding that situation right now because I might throw up and chuck my computer at a wall if I do.

What am I rambling about?

I'm back on the market as a sitter. I will work as often as I can, as you want, and as my schedule allows (which is quite a bit). If you live in California, Texas, China, or Italy, I will move. As long as I can live with you and get paid. I can clean, I can cook, I wipe butts, I have fun! I just don't attend to the needs of the husband, if you know what I mean.

Someone, anyone, please employ me. I love kids, I'm great with them, they love me, and I have a ton of references. You pretty much know everything and more about my life-- which I suppose could make you say, "Uh, hell no, you will not be taking care of my angels," but I can guarantee you this-- I'll never talk about you on my blog. Never, ever, ever.

But seriously, if you or anyone you know needs a sitter 20 hours a week or more, consider me or pass my name on. I'm begging you. Even if you do live out of state. I'm always up for an adventure!

Have you considered getting your CNA/NAC certificate? It allows you to get nursing experience and a lot of places allow live-in opportunities! :) Thats what my husband is right now...

Also I have a friend who is a NICU nurse and she loves it! Best of luck!

Just stopping by to say hi!!! I have finally crawled out form under my books - ok, fine, more like i am procrastinating!

Have you looked for nanny positions in your area? I know in the DC metro area, a lot of students find jobs as nannies. If I see anything, I will pass it along!
I'm pretty sure you and I are the same person, I'm just 2 years older. I feel like the only actual work experience I have is in babysitting and I'm a freaking badass babysitter, if I do say so myself.

Good luck finding a new job. I hope you find one soon!!

Arg. If I only I were not so damn poor! I would hire you in a heartbeat and let you be my BFFANSM (that's Best Friend Forevah And Nanny Slash Maid)! I'd even kick Mr. BFG to the curb (okay, just the couch) and let you move in!

Okay, we've gotta come up with a plan. Because seriously, Texas is full of good nursing schools. For real.

Thinking...

(PS: what the hell is "saggly?" really? stupid blogger.)

Are you willing to move to Central PA? We have good nursing schools around here and I have an extra bedroom. (I do, however, live next to my in-laws BUT we have a pool and one really cute kid and another (probably cute) kid on the way.)

OMG, you don't even know how tempting it is to take you up on this offer! :-) And...I totally would let you live with us, but I don't think you want to live in the master closet. Although, I do have a nice shoe collection. Hands off. ;-)

P.S. All our daycare turmoil? They fired his teacher yesterday. We'll see if that makes any difference. ::fingers crossed::

If I had the money to pay you, you could TOTALLY come and live with me! Maddie doesn't need a sitter as much as she needs a personal assistant/taxi driver. Plus, there is a nursing school about 45 min from here (the one I graduated from, actually). It would be perfect. I don't even have a husband to entertain!
