I know most people don't log into blogger on the weekends, but that will probably be my only time to log in, so if you're curious about my first week of nursing school, you can read that post here.
Okay, just went and got all caught up on everything and I'm so so so happy that things are going well. It sounds incredible intense but to do a 4-year program in 11-14 months is amazing!!
So glad you're enjoying your apartment! I remember loving having my own place...leaving dirty dishes in the sink, walking around naked (TMI...sorry), talking outloud to myself (TMI again)...it was an experience!!!
Hi Marianne, Just found your blog and think you're a doll. I will be bookmarking you and reading your story as I get a chance to (I have two very small kids and I have to read quickly or late at night, ha!). I wish you the best of luck in nursing school and I LOVE your frugality. Wait 'til you get into couponing one day... :) Come visit my little corner of the Internets... Becky
I didn't intend to skip out for the past (almost) week, &, as a matter of fact, I actually HAD things to blog about (shocking, I know), but the end of last week was pure chaos and time did not allow for much of anything other than work/appointments/errands/getting ahead on school work/playing mom to three kids all weekend. And all of that running around & time spent with kids has left me with a terrible cold, intense nausea, and sleep deprevation. However, my flight leaves at 7:05 tomorrow morning & by 2 EST, I'll be in beautiful St Thomas with another friend visiting one of my favorite people in the world & for that, I am beyond grateful. Catch y'all in a week or so! Aloha. Or whatever the Caribbean equivalent of goodbye is.
Brown Eyed Girl Jenn did this post earlier today and I thought it was fun, I haven't done a meme in ages, and I have a handful of new followers who may like to know useless information about me, so I figured what the heck? Might as well steal it. Thanks, Jenn! The ABCs of yours truly! A. Age -- 23. I'll be 24 on May 20th (I love surprises in the mail, hint hint ;)) and some days I can't believe I'm that old, while others, I can't believe I'm that young. B. Bed size -- Queen and it's the most heavenly thing in the world, which is great, but also bad, because it is nearly impossible to pull myself out of bed every morning... or afternoon. C. Chore you dislike -- Cleaning the shower would probably be my least favorite. I have a shower/tub combo and I really just hate getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing the bejeezus out of the thing. Plus, I feel like I smell like Clorox for the next 3 showers. D. Dogs -- I have two fur babies, you can read about them ...
Doesn't that sound like a book title? Perhaps I should start a series, "Adventures of The Fickle White Woman." What do you think? Sound like a good plan? Maybe I should just make it blog series... "Fickle White, RN," "Fickle White Buys a Bachelorette Pad," "Fickle White Is Not On Crack, Just Crazy..." Hmm. I'm kind of liking this idea. By the way, is it pathetic that I was super excited about this date just so I could blog about it? Yea, that's what I thought. ANYWAY... Yes, folks, I finally have gone on a date. A match.com date. Lord help us all. I joined match.com a little over a month ago when one of my very favorite friends told me she's doing it and has been on a lot of dates (Hi friend! I won't call you out ;)). After a failed go at eharmony, I decided to give the competition a try. In college (and maybe even high school-- perhaps I had a premonition about the lack of dating experience I would have?) I always said, ...
