Monday Minute

Well, Ian relinquished control of "Monday Minute" for the rest of time, and it is now being hosted by Heather @ In the Land of Crazy & Melissa @ Day to Day Living. This week is also being cohosted by Not Your Average Single Momma. Did you follow all that?

Anyway, here are the questions:

What is your favorite 80s flick?
Adventures in Babysitting, Ghostbuster's, Dirty Dancing, & Risky Business

One genre of music needs to be banned. Which genre?
Anything that remotely sounds like Insane Clown Posse or heavy metal.

What is your all time favorite candy?
Sour Patch Kids. Gummy Bears. Riesen. Anything with chocolate and peanut butter. Skittles. Starburst. (Have you noticed when it says "what is your favorite?" I always list more than one thing? Clearly I'm incapable of picking favorites.)

How 'flawed' is your driving record?
Perfect! I did get a speeding ticket a couple years ago, but I did the deferral program, which removed any trace of the ticket.

What was high school mascot?
Trojan. The Bishop Chatard Trojans.

What color socks are you wearing?
I'm barefoot. I don't really like wearing socks unless I'm wearing tennis shoes (or sneakers, whatever you weirdos call them).

I'm naughty and have decided not to do the Monday Minute anymore. I also have no new post today. Maybe I'll write something later today or tomorrow. Whatever. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself to be an "everyday blogger." In theory that would be nice, but it's not easy and I can't do that right now. It's okay to only blog a few times a week, right?

Adventures In Babysitting! I remember when that flick came out, a girl once said I looked like the lead in that movie. I knew she was trying to be MY friend by saying that because I was quite a bit chubbier than the lead, let me tell you! But, hey, when you're in your early 20's, who's going to deny that they look like a movie star? Suck it in, pass by a mirror and blow yourself a kiss woman! hahahahaha...and then tell everyone what that girl said!!!!! Maybe by the power of suggestion other people will BELIEVE it!!!!! hahahahahahaha

Ohmygosh! The Insane Clown Posse used to play shows a few blocks from our old condo every now and then. I remember the kids walking around coated in soda and clown makeup! Craziness!

In other news, how are ya woman?! I don't visit blogland often these days:( Any chance you'll be our way soon?

I didn't intend to skip out for the past (almost) week, &, as a matter of fact, I actually HAD things to blog about (shocking, I know), but the end of last week was pure chaos and time did not allow for much of anything other than work/appointments/errands/getting ahead on school work/playing mom to three kids all weekend. And all of that running around & time spent with kids has left me with a terrible cold, intense nausea, and sleep deprevation. However, my flight leaves at 7:05 tomorrow morning & by 2 EST, I'll be in beautiful St Thomas with another friend visiting one of my favorite people in the world & for that, I am beyond grateful. Random Facts about Me You Probably Don't Care to Know.

Brown Eyed Girl Jenn did this post earlier today and I thought it was fun, I haven't done a meme in ages, and I have a handful of new followers who may like to know useless information about me, so I figured what the heck? Might as well steal it. Thanks, Jenn! The ABCs of yours truly! A. Age -- 23. I'll be 24 on May 20th (I love surprises in the mail, hint hint ;)) and some days I can't believe I'm that old, while others, I can't believe I'm that young. B. Bed size -- Queen and it's the most heavenly thing in the world, which is great, but also bad, because it is nearly impossible to pull myself out of bed every morning... or afternoon. C. Chore you dislike -- Cleaning the shower would probably be my least favorite. I have a shower/tub combo and I really just hate getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing the bejeezus out of the thing. Plus, I feel like I smell like Clorox for the next 3 showers. D. The Season of Giving... & Receiving

Read this post. Trust me, you'll want to. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving until January 1st, I forget about how much I despise cold weather and bask in the warmth that is Christmas cheer. Oh, Lord, is that cheesy or what? But I mean it. There's just something about all the decorations, the music, the preparation for the birth of my Lord, that makes me all giddy. But it can also be a stressful time with the end of school, shopping to do, letters to send, volunteer work, etc. I know I'm not the only person in the world who stresses. Kids, taking care of the home, jobs, finding a job, loved ones who are fighting for our freedom overseas, school, being a good friend and family member-- it can all be so overwhelming and take a toll on the body.
